Roadworks reveal early Medieval necropolis in northern Spain

An archaeological excavation in the Rioja municipality of Granon, during work on a section of the A-12 motorway, has brought to light some 35 tombs out of a total of 90 that form part of a necropolis, which could date from the end of Late Antiquity to the early stages of the Middle Ages.
